Privacy policy

As of 18 October 2026

This English version is provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the German version shall prevail.

Protecting your data matters to us. In this privacy policy we explain which personal data we process when you visit our website or get in touch with us, why we do so and what rights you have. The applicable law is the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you because you are located in the European Economic Area, we take it into account as well.

What data we process and why

We only process data that we need to run this website, to answer your enquiries and to carry out our projects. We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising purposes. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable person, for example a name, e-mail address, phone number or IP address.

We process data for the following purposes:

  • Providing, operating and securing the website
  • Answering enquiries made via the contact form, e-mail or phone
  • Preparing and handling quotes and projects
  • Statistical analysis of website usage, only with your consent
  • Complying with legal obligations, such as retention requirements

For visitors from the EEA we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR: contract and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b)), our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f)), legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by cyon GmbH in Basel, with servers located in Switzerland. Each time a page is requested, the server automatically stores technical information in so-called server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of access
  • Page or file requested and amount of data transferred
  • Page from which you reached us (referrer)
  • Browser and operating system

We need this data to deliver the website, find errors and fend off attacks. We do not combine it with other data and only analyse it if there are concrete indications of misuse. The log files are deleted automatically after a short time. cyon processes the data as a processor on our behalf.

Contact form, e-mail and phone

When you write to us via the contact form, we process the information you enter there: name, e-mail address and message, and optionally company, phone number and the topics you selected. The form is transmitted in encrypted form, delivered to us by e-mail and additionally stored in our own customer management system fox-crm. To block automated spam we use an invisible check field and a time check, without third-party services and without a captcha. Anything filtered out by this check is not stored.

In fox-crm we handle your enquiry and record the next steps. Like this website, it is hosted by cyon, with servers in Switzerland. The transfer is encrypted and only Fox Computers has access. We keep your information there for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any resulting business relationship, and beyond that only where statutory retention obligations apply.

Whether by form, e-mail or phone: we use your information solely to answer your enquiry and to clarify any follow-up questions. If it leads to a project, we keep the related correspondence for as long as required for the project and by statutory retention obligations (business records for up to ten years). Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted once they have been dealt with and no retention obligation applies.

Cookies and local storage

We do not set any cookies without your consent. On your first visit, a small box at the bottom right asks whether we may use Google Analytics. We store your decision in your browser for twelve months (local storage, entry “fox_consent”) so that we do not have to ask you again on every page. This entry contains only the decision and the date and is not transmitted to us.

You can change your decision at any time: . The link is also in the footer of every page. In addition, you can delete or block cookies and stored website data in your browser.

Google Analytics

Only if you consent in the cookie box do we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and Google LLC, USA. It shows us which pages are visited and how often, how visitors find us and whether contact options are used. This helps us improve the website.

The data collected includes in particular: pages viewed and time spent, the origin of the visit (for example a search engine or a link), device type, browser, screen size, language and approximate location at country or region level. We also measure whether a contact form was submitted or a link to e-mail, phone, the contact page or a project website was clicked. We do not transmit form contents or your contact details to Google. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not store complete IP addresses. We have disabled advertising features and personalised advertising.

For this purpose, Google Analytics sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_<ID>”, which are stored for up to two years, and uses a pseudonymous identifier that does not lead back to you directly. Google retains the collected data in our account for a maximum of 14 months. Data may be transferred to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which recognises an adequate level of data protection. You can find more information in Google’s privacy policy.

If you decline or withdraw your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded or is switched off immediately, and the analytics cookies are deleted. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future.

Fonts, videos and links

We deliver fonts, scripts, images and videos entirely from our own server. No content from Google Fonts, YouTube, Vimeo, map services or other third-party services is embedded, so visiting this website does not create a connection to any such provider. Links to LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube or to our clients’ websites are simple links: only when you click on them do you reach the respective provider’s site, which is subject to its own privacy policy.

Disclosure to third parties and processing abroad

We only disclose personal data if this is necessary for the purposes described, if you have consented or if we are legally obliged to do so. Recipients are in particular our hosting and e-mail provider cyon GmbH in Switzerland (website, e-mail and fox-crm) and, only with your consent, Google for web analytics. If we work with partners on a project, such as a design agency, we only pass on the information they need for their task.

Data security

The connection to this website is encrypted throughout with HTTPS (TLS). In addition, we use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access, for example strict browser security policies, up-to-date software and restricted access to the data. Please note that transmitting data over the internet, for instance by unencrypted e-mail, is never completely secure.

Your rights

Within the scope of the applicable data protection law, you have the following rights at any time:

  • Access to information on whether and which data we process about you
  • Rectification of incorrect or incomplete data
  • Erasure of your data, unless a retention obligation prevents it
  • Restriction of processing and objection to processing
  • Release or transfer of your data in a common electronic format
  • Withdrawal of consent given, with effect for the future

A message to the contact details above is enough to make a request. To ensure that we do not disclose data to unauthorised persons, we may ask you to prove your identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority: in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EEA with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.

Changes

We update this privacy policy when our website, our services or the legal requirements change. The version published on this page applies. As of: 18 October 2026.
