Freedom, clearly worded
Project info
The Jungfreisinnige (Young Liberals) are the most liberal youth party in Switzerland. They work to actively shape politics and social developments according to the principles of freedom and personal responsibility. At the centre of their thinking are free, self-determined people who believe in themselves and want to realise their individual way of life independently of the state.

The project
As part of a fundamental technical and design realignment, we were commissioned, in collaboration with eyeloveyou, to replace the existing website with a tailor-made solution. The previous version was based on a purchased template with numerous plugins, which made it error-prone, hard to maintain and only partly optimised for mobile.
The result is a lean, stable system with a custom theme that is consistently geared towards modern web technology and mobile use. Particular attention went to scalability: the website runs as a WordPress multisite, so the cantonal sections share the same technical foundation and can still run their own sites, united by a common design and functional concept.

One party, three languages
The website is built entirely in German, French and Italian. Position papers, voting recommendations with an archive back to 2020 and press releases back to 2010 are neatly structured. Joining takes a short form, donations go through an embedded RaiseNow form, and the shop sells merchandise in German and French, paid via Saferpay.
For the popular initiative “Verwaltungsbremse” (administration brake), we created an interactive animation: using a timeline from 2010 to 2027, you scrub a cut-out video of the Federal Palace forwards and backwards and watch the administration grow.
